Home Wedding and Celebration Party

16th July, I did wedding flowers for Geraldine who had her wedding cermony and reception at her home and her next door, neighbour's place who had a magnificient view from the terrace.
I put single cymbidium with red spicer orchid in a small vase on the signing table. I decorated 2 apartments with a lot of flowers.

For the entrance, welcome flowers
For the top of wedding cup cake decoraiton, I arranged David Austin roses, white and pink sweet pea.

The bride who did not want to have a bouquet, but I presented her a very small bouquet which mached her suit to wear, especially with lime colour cymbidium.

She looked so happy and beautiful.

I have leased the shop at 143 St. Johns road, in front of my current cafe /florist "Yuga Floral Design & Cafe" 172 St. Johns Road near Glebe Town Hall. This shop used to be Honey & Ant Gallery. I wanted to make a boutique type of florist which as a gallery space.

It is not easy to renovate a new shop.

I have painted the front of the shop.
the inside of the shop, I chosed the colour of wall and painted with my friend. Trevor helpme me a lot.The shop entrance, I sold this lavender.

My favourite corner to decorate, I collected furniture by auctions.
The flowers against this dark colour of wall worked very well.

I am very happy with what I have done with my new concept (French/Japanese style) floral shop. Paris/Tokyo Styles are my theme.

Wedding flowers for Melanie

Easter Saturday, I had a wedding flowers for Melanie & Thomas. Congratulations!

The reception was held at the Sails restaurant in MacMahans Point. In the morning, it was raining and I felt very sorry for this couple, however when I delivered flowers to the hotel, the sky was clearing up. I felt very happy.

the theme colour : Cream, apricot, purple, blue and white.

I found that recent trend is purple for wedding.

Melanie especially asked me to use lisianthus which edge has purple colour in. I have used lisianthus, apricot colour of roses, freesia, bouvardia, nerine.

Table arrangements at Sails restaurant
Apricot colour of roses, freesia, scabiosa, delphinium, lisianthus. Usually, in Sydney, it is difficult to find scabiosa, but I happened to find them and used for this arrangements effectively.

Sailsレストランのテーブル装花は、もう少し、ブルーと紫を入れ込みました。普段手に入らないスカビオサも偶然花市場で見かけて入れてみたらすごく効果的

Florist in Paris

I visited the floral shop of George Francois on Saturday morning on the 5th June 2010. 3 Japanese florists were preparing to place plants outside. I said Bonjour to the middle aged guy, who is Monsieur George Francois. He is often introduced on some of Japanese floral magazines, so I recognized him easily. Unfortunately, my French is very limited, so I asked Tomoko who is a partner of George to translate.

The shop is full of plants, flowers and antiques. I happened to find that there is a lesson on next Monday, so I booked a floral lesson.

I have floral classes at my shop in Sydney as well. It was a really good chance to see his French style of arrangements and bouquets.

On Monday 7th, I went back to the shop and had a lovely lesson with him.

Another Japanese Lady had a lesson with apples and flowers and I did a large Bouquet rond (Very large! and his style).
